In a rural community in Central Oregon, Sprague, a quiet and guarded young trans man, seeks to carve a life. He spends his days working on his property — immersed in a place that offers freedom and isolation. Solitude has always been a form of protection, a way of surviving in a place where visibility carries risk. When he meets Mack, an older community member who extends an unexpected hand of friendship, Sprague finds himself at a crossroad — connection or safety. Sprague’s presence unsettles Wayne, a suspicious and territorial neighbor whose watchful eye makes clear that acceptance requires strategy.
