Cleobatra
Jan. 2, 1943
After her father's death, Cleopatra defeats the men who cross her life to prevent her from ruling Egypt: the high priest Heremakes and his intrigues, and the general Antony sent to collect her tribute to Rome. Octavius and Antony start a war between Romans because of her. Finally vanquished by a traitor, she fails to save Antony in battle, and the two lovers end by committing suicide together.
